The competition will take place at Bujama Lacus, a world-class artificial waterski lake purpose-built for high-performance waterskiing. The venue is located on the Pan-American South Highway, Km 89.5, in Bujama, Lima Region, Peru, approximately one hour south of Lima.
Bujama Lacus has been designed to meet international competition standards, offering optimal water conditions, consistent course layout, and excellent infrastructure for elite-level training and events.
From January 10 to January 16, 2027, Lima, Peru will host the Under-21 Waterski World Championships at Bujama Lacus.
More than 110 junior athletes from 18 countries will compete in slalom, tricks, and jump, in an event that marks a historic milestone for the sport in South America.
But it's not all about competition. Bujama Lacus offers a world-class sporting venue combined with Peru's coastal climate, warm hospitality, and cultural experiences, creating an international event that blends sport, tourism, and celebration.
In Bujama, daytime temperatures are warm (around 25–30 °C), while nights are cooler and pleasant (around 20–23 °C).

Easy access via the Pan-American South Highway (Panamericana Sur), with direct routes from Lima and surrounding coastal areas.
Regular intercity bus services run from Lima to the southern coastal area near Bujama.
Fly into Lima (LIM) — Jorge Chávez International Airport, then continue by ground transport.
Private transfers and taxis are available from Lima, the airport, and nearby coastal districts to Bujama Lacus.
